Number 7 is my favourite, but what bird is that in Number 11, a beauty. Liked the trees in no. 5.

Re. the bird...turned a corner and there it was quite close in undergrowth to the side of a path...wasn't fazed by us at all.
Couldn't make out what it was at the time then later we were near one of the ponds and saw something similar with an adult moorhen...so think it might be a juvenile moorhen. Not sure though maybe a 'birder' on the site could advise.
No.7 is actually my favourite from those...might upload at a larger size on the main gallery.

Northwich,
Cheshire
Took the opportunity for a day out there recently.
Set in about 60 acres it is quite a large site with a variety of different landscapes...some cultivated and maintained, others left 'wild'.
On one side there are views over the marshy Dee estuary to North Wales.
Wanted to give my compromised K-50 an outing and paired it with my Pentax M 50mm f/1.4 I bought a while ago but have barely used. Ignore Exif data that says '100mm'.
Missed most of the summer flowering and bright colours...will have to again next year to get those but there was enough interest to
occupy me.
See what you think.
