This was the nearest I got to a complete Takumar collection (a few less interesting lenses not included):

Here's my collection of Super-Multi-Coated Takumars for my Spotmatic SPII (and date from around 1971).

In my opinion, the Super-Multi-Coated Takumars are the best takumars to get as they have the best coatings and most up-to-date optical formulae

Left to right they are:

* 28mm f/3.5
* 85mm f/1.8
* 135mm f/3.5
* 35mm f/2
* 50mm f/1.4
* 35mm f/3.5

Wah ! .... Where are the macro taks? Are they uninteresting?
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Agreed. 60 years have passed and they're still the coolest looking things in the bag.

Now compare them to the blunder years FA series lenses!

I once saw them described as "little jewels" - which seems very appropriate

Mine are almost 50 years old, but still the focus is buttery smooth...
