I've certainly noticed an improvement over the K100D - but I'm suprised at that; would have thought K200D would be just as good at shake reduction - ah, well - another reason I'm glad I went with the 20D then...

I'm glad you like my pics too - any feedback from anyone would be welcome! (on previous page)

Hi Bob,
I like all the shots you posted but particularly the first and third. It seems you have got to grips with the K20D pretty quickly

Got my K20D as well - an upgrade from a K10D. No shots to show off yet, but I've had a play with the camera.

The Live View is better than I was expecting from the reviews, and it also shows how amazingly well the Shake Reduction works. SR counters larger movements than I would have thought. Watch Live View with SR turned on and then off to see what difference it makes.

As well as the other obvious big change of the 14.6 CMOS sensor, the camera has quite a few little additions, tweaks and fixes to the firmware compared to the K10D's. For examples, it's now possible to display the ISO value all the time in Program mode, and EV compensation works in Manual mode (which might make using manual-exposure lenses more convenient with stop-down metering).

A lot of this could technically be added to the K10D's firmware, but it's not looking likely that Pentax will release any more updates for the K10D.

Im pleased with the ISO performance up to 800, above that is a bit noisy for me, but i will see how they change with the noise reduction.

Thought i would post an image too

DA 50-200mm, ISO 800

Rav - that's a superb shot! I'm suprised that the 50-200 managed to acheive a good depth of field there. I underestimated that lens!

It was'nt actually that noisy - just used ISO100 - but there is just too much illumination around where I live for a 2hr exposure; it was extremely over exposed - so I reduced the exposure in photoshop, made it a bit sharper, and used a filter to give it a bit more blue.

My wifes parents live in a more remote part of Cheshire - so next time i'm there for the evening I might give it another bash as I want to limit the amount of post work (I feel like I cheated a bit here).
