Sorry for the delay chaps!
It has indeed arrived and i've had a bit of a play - me very happy!!
I'm going to get up early tomorrow and go to a nearby hill before work to give it a proper test-drive; i'll post the shots here, but certainly initial reaction to the camera is utter amazement.
I also can't believe how large the file sizes really are (coming from a K100D). Anyways, watch this space for a more in-depth chat about my new K20D

That's no excuse!
The camera is weather sealed and you can put a plastic bag over the lens

Well that's all the cashback stuff posted off. If the weather improves this afternoon, i'll leave work early and get some shots in.
Iceblinker - yes that's a good point - it's just a shame that the path to my favourite spot on that hill is'nt weather-sealed though!
Not a good idea going up there in near dark light and raining, as it's next to a quarry and get's quite muddy/slippy.
If access was much much easier there's no doubt that I would have gone this morning.

Yes bones can be repaired on the NHS(eventually), cameras are expensive to repair, and The NHS does not want to know!

Eventually being the word, it's taken the NHS 10 months to find her indoors broken finger.

Snootchies: Well, I waited 2 weekends for a good (read without rain) weather when I bought mine K20D. That was depressing, really I hope this weekend will be sunny, dry and warm - I received DA 55-300mm today
Kind regards,

Well...it's time to share the wealth with you! Though the weather has been VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! Michal - I feel your pain!
Firstly though...my thoughts on the K20D after going beserk with it for a couple of days now....
It is an outstanding camera, that is unquestionable, but I have to admit that I've struggled with the camera here and there. It was inevitable: I'm completely used to a K100D and can get the best out of it quite easily. I then get a different camera, and things are'nt quite the same - it's taken a couple of days to adjust/climatise. My next outings wont be as frustratng here and there. This is all to be expected of course.
But, i'll quickly run though the features I like:
* sharpness. I'm used to a K100D with the MKI 18-55. Pics are noticably sharper now.
* Speed - not only on taking RAW images in bursts - but review speed as well - fllipping through shots is so much quicker now.
* Resolution. Crop is my friend now; and I really appreciate having that luxury.
* Raw button/Bracketing button (how much easier is that!)
* Exposure compensation can go to +/- 3 instead of the 2 i'm used to - I like the extra flexibility.
* ISO performance - me like!
* Liveview. I'm quite probably on my own here, but I really like the Liveview. For getting akward shots, it's great - but this morning it was perfect for me to help get focus on a very distant object with a teleconverter hooked onto my 55-300 at the 300 end. I digitally zoomed in by 4 aswell, and found it effortless to attain the correct focus - instead of struggling through a dim viewfinder.
I could go on a bit more - but I wont (right now anyway - i've said enough already).
I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on what makes the K20 really useful for you - what habits have you picked up thanks to little features that the K20D does?
So enough of the blabbing, I'll show you some of my first shots...
These are links to Flickr images i've just uploaded there (at the risk of sounding stupid - could someone explain how to have the images actually within a post please?)
I'm not able to link to these (I get an "error on page" when I try to) So i'll just have to paste the address in...

^ Ive also come up from the K100D and its been a very nice step indeed.
I agree with all of your points. its a great camera and it feels even better in my hands than my k100d.
Its larger buffer helps so alot it feels so much more responsive than the 100d, which i love. Much more enjoyable to use now.
And that Multi-exposure function is also very interesting. didnt know i had it until i went through the manual. but its already proved itself to me - https://www.pentaxuser.com/photo/user-7917/2-Minutes-3331
I recently saw how feature pack the canon 5D mk II liveview is, as well as Sonys. But never the less its helped me out already when on a tripod and at an awkward height. Which is all i need it for.
Very please

Hi Rav - the multi exposure is something I've always wanted to exeriment with - and was one of the reasons I opted for a K20 rather than K200.
I really want to get a mutli exposure with a full moon and place it in a great night landscape shot.

Bob, To put an image within a post just click on the Image button below the comment box and paste the images url between the 2 backeted img.
On flickr you can find the photos url by clicking on the photo and then on all sizes just above the photo. Below the photo is the image url(no.2).Make sure that you have selected the right size as it has to be about 800 pixels across to prevent having to scroll the page.
