I'm not sure about 4/3 stuff, but Pentax viewfinder equipment (magnifiers, cups, angle finders, etc) is fully interchangeable with accessories designed for the Olympus OM system. It'd be interesting to know if your new eyecup fits your E-510?

First impressions are that it is quite a significant increase in VF area. The K20D VF was not small to start with but now it is panoramic! The optical quality seems to be good with no visible distortions. Brightness may be very slightly down but then it is overcast today (if it is down it is by a very small amount).
The only negative is that I can't quite see the whole VF unless I position my eye very close the the O-ME53. At my normal viewing position there is a very slight vignetting effect in the corners. Move your eye point around very slightly and you can see all the VF.
The O-ME53 is well made with a flexible rubber outside. It sits back a little further on the camera body which means your nose / cheek bone has a little more space. Also there is more clearance around the Diopter adjuster than with the standard eye cup.
Overall I would say it's a worth while addition to the K20D and I will be keeping on my camera.

Hefty, yes as a matter of fact I already have the ME-1 for my E-510, I haven't yet tried the Pentax one on my E-510 but I did try to fit my Oly ME-1 on my K20D last night and it seemed a little tight so didn't force it.
Both my cameras with Eye cup / magnifier upgrades.

Thanks for that, I wasn't sure if Oly had made the 4/3 cameras compatible with OM accessories - looks like the answer's no. Some accessories like the Pentax Refconvertor (right angle finder) fetch 3 or 4 times the amount of the Oly OM equivalents and I've always got an eye out for ways to save some pennies...

With it will be the 18-55M KII and DA 55-300.
I've already got an additional memory card, polarising filter for the 18-55, skylight filter for the 55-300 and spare battery. (Battery Grip next on the shopping list, and shortly after a 50mm 1.4)
I'll probably go completely beserk with the camera at the weekend - and will be taking a day off next week depending on which has the best forecast (looks like Wednesday at the moment).
So i'll share some piccies with you all real soon.
I have'nt felt like this since being a kid at christmas!!!
