Hi, The first one is different and nice and the second one I really liked, especially the narrow depth of field. Great shot.

Hi Danny. I tried with an 18mm semi fish eye on film many years ago and all I got were some VERY LARGE noses. I like your 2nd. one. CHEERS Vic.

I agree the first one is eye catching because it is 'different' the second one is really nice.

Really like them both. The first is so different to the usual stuff and so that is the one that will stay in the memory.

I like number one - it kind of reminds me of the fish eye effect in the Guns n Roses video for 'Right Next door to Hell' if my memory still works - I could be wrong though

Thanks for all the kind words, much appreciated.
Have to admit that I enjoyed the studio more than I thought and the quality of the images with decent lighting is fantastic. So so glad that I didn't get rid of the 55 now as this could see a lot of use in the future. That 2nd shot at f2 still keeps on drawing my attention.
Definately looking forward to doing it again 10 days or so, think the plan is low key so should be interesting!

first picture is great! the second seems to me there is a bug-zone field is only a passing eye ..

Thought I would try something different to what everyone else was doing and Leela was very helpful with that. She loved the shots we did with the fisheye and at the end of the evening had the DA*55 set at f2 for some narrow depth of field.
Whilst I know there will be a marmite response to the fisheye shot, would love to know what you think of the 'normal' portrait, click through for larger versions. All critique welcome!
