Mint MZ5 15 rolls gone through it
I don't suppose you know if it's had the dreaded plastic cog replaced with a metal one at any point?

Not sure as it was really never used; I bought a K20D 5 weeks after I bought the MZ5 and it has been stored since (correctly).

A question for you both. Does the plastic cog issue prevent the film from being correctly advanced between frames? If so, that’s helpful information, as my MZ60 has started exhibiting this problem.
The plastic cog issue prevents the camera from working entirely - the whole mechanism seizes up.
