Most of us buy lenses priced in hundreds of pounds rather than in thousands, so about zero chance for that lens from this Forum.

There's been a 600mm f/5.6 on ebay for a few days now for 2,000
I'm surprised that non of the people who complain about the shortage
of Pentax long glass haven't snapped it up

SMC PENTAX -A * 600mm f5.6 ED IF

Edit: Seems it is the A Series.... I thought it was FA
So I've no idea what it's worth.

It now seems to have morphed into a 645 600mm lens

Has a loophole been found or, has the forum been duped?

Should the thread should now be moved to 'leads to deals' section?

Am I the guy at the end of a Batman episode?

Find out... Same Pentaxtime, same Pentaxchannel...

Some of this thread was of academic interest to a few people, so it stayed for that reason.

However, as you've now pointed it out I have removed the post with the link in.

Dave and Dave - as members have expressed an interest in the other lenses from this collection I saw no harm in advising when they would be available. If you have bothered to read my opening post I was very careful to not break forum rules or tread on toes and I was actively encouraged to list what I had and to post links to them:

"looking at completed sales on ebay for the items will give you and idea of their worth, I'm sure we'd all be interested to see what you have.
Ken"

"Don't forget to post a link to the listings.
K.
Kris Lockyear"

Impossible to please everybody I suppose.

Academic interest as there are not many people who can afford thousands for lenses. And for the reason that thetimesaver has outlined as well.

We do have to be a bit careful of the fine line where commercial advertising and genuine interest meet. However, I'm sure that by now anyone interested will be able to find the listings easily enough.
Best regards, John

C'mon Dave, even I spotted that from my first look at the sellers ebay account
Perhaps the seller intends to donate a percentage of the proceeds to the forum

I'm sure that would be appreciated by the whole forum and especially from the members that helped the seller to get such high prices by availing him of their valuable time and expertise on this thread and others.

No equipment list here but thanks for taking an interest. My Flickr

It wasn't immediately obvious that the acquisition of these lenses was by a dealer. I thought that most dealers had their own sources to find values for their specialism and not have to ask punters on a user forum.

+1

Perhaps SRS should ask us what they should sell their K-5's for!

i always thought there was a 15% valuation fee of the total selling price with all experts... I am half serious here, if you took this to an expert there would be a fee!

"Pentax Expert" hasn't been on the forum for months.
Pity because he is so knowledgeable about all Pentax lenses and
their use.... composition etc.
