3D is overrated and costly.

One to watch, it does look quite mint ....

I already have a macro lens so will be abstaining from this one, cough cough.

Good luck.

How do you bid if you have zero feedback on ebay

Perhaps a bid by PM

.....or a 'Buy it Now' bid by PM

What I mean is that the vendor seems wary of prospective buyers who have no feedback.

I have only ever bid on one lens and dropped out when it went for silly money right at the end of bidding.

i have bought directly from Forum Members and would do so again.

Just email them first, bid, then pay if you win.

Seller's ebay reputation is better than his sudden appearance here with no track record.

You get buyer protection and you can buy with a credit card allowing you further protection.

There are alot of scammers/ time wasters on eb*y, so contact before you place a bid to say your interested, i would say this will go for silly money as these are very rare and even rare in excellent condition £2000+

Send him a message and refer him to here. As the vendor has a PUF membership as well as an ebay account you can demonstrate you are genuine via your postings on the forum.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Hi Hyram, I am the vendor of the lens and have absolutely no problem selling to genuine bidders with no past feedback but there are so many scammers on eBay or dreamers who bid on an auction and are never heard from again that it is always prudent to ask for contact first, especially with higher value items. A bidder with little feedback who is prepared to contact you and express his genuine intentions is more than likely going to honour his / her bid.

Whilst I wish you well in your auctions, I think your starting prices for some of them are OTT.

You've started them at prices that they may eventually sell for and you'd be well advised to lower them dramatically to generate some bidding interest.

EG: Starting the A* 200mm Macro lens at £950 and expecting it to sell for circa £1000 (according to some posts here) is folly in my opinion.

Good luck with them anyway.

Thank you for your good wishes Peter.
I believe that the £1000 estimate for the A* is conservative, at least i'm hoping so.
I often start auctions at 99p and let them find their level but these lenses are so special that I just couldnt do that. My start prices are the minimum that I would be comfortable with.
