The other night my wife woke me at 4 am to say she had never seen the stars so bright through our window, and she was right. As I blearily peered out I thought now is the time to try the astrotracer but to my shame the thought of getting dressed and getting the kit all set up was too much and I rolled over back to sleep. So a double well done for your perseverance and congratulations on a brilliant shot!

Very well done. Having recently had my first try at photographing the Milky Way I can appreciate the effort and skill that goes into a single frame, getting a panorama deserves extra credit

Wow just checked in for the first time since posting this. I'm overwhelmed by everyone's comments.
It has now (18:15 on Sun 28th) had over 4000 views on Flickr after being added, not by me, to a group called "explore".

Well done Steve, the night sky images are not my usual cup of tea, but this is outstanding. 'Explore' on on Flickr is a group that images get added to if they are unusual, especially good or get a high number of views. I wouldn't be surprised if the view count goes over 10,000 as some of mine that have been 'Explored' have hit between 11,000 and 15,000 views, which I think is fairly typical.

David
