Hope everyone has been able to enjoy the day in their own special way ... (oh no, that does sound like a cheesy Christmas card )

Let me try something about cameras then .... I hope that everyone's brilliant Pentax camera did a great job in perfectly recording the events of today.

Christmas Day can be tricky I think - white balance, now that's always
tricky - if you use flash do you set flash WB, or Tungsten and try to control it with manual exposure settings, and what about the camera custom menu options (like controlling if flash WB is automatically used - that saves some fiddling around, its good...)

I know - I see an opportunity ... I must get around to doing my 'Pentax DSLR-Specific Christmas Day Shooters Checklist' And don't worry, you'll all be the first to know about it

Happy Chrstmas to you. I've just realised that today is the first day in over a week when I haven't even picked up a camera!

Remember the old days when a chemist would process a film and produce enprints with Christmas 1963 at the beginning, the summer holiday to Cromer in the middle and Christmas 1964 on the end?
Best wishes,

Andrew

That's quite ironic because I haven't picked mine up for a week too, except today I felt an urge to calibrate my lenses on the K-3! I think I am addicted

Well David, I bet "her indoors" was pleased with your calibration session in the midst of the festivities... Is there a medical term for K3 addiction?
Best wishes,

Andrew

I don't think there's a medical term, but there are probably some interesting general descriptions, such as 'obsessed', 'mad', 'strange' etc. I'm actually very lucky as my wife is very accommodating of my camera obsession, but she must have thought it a little odd that yesterday I set up the tripod outside the back door and proceeded to take multiple photos of road signs with different lenses to make sure the AF was calibrated properly!

I justify it by saying that I've spent a lot of money on the K-3 and I need to make sure I get the best out of it!

Cheers

A merry Christmas and a great new year to all of you.

And to Pentax the lounge of a very successful FF.

I was one of 90000 , watching the Boxing Day match for the Ashes.

I wish all you English a winning streak for next year.

Kind regards, Horst
