Mains AC adapter kit K-AC50 for K5
“We must avoid however, snapping away, shooting quickly and without thought, overloading ourselves with unnecessary images that clutter our memory and diminish the clarity of the whole.” - Henri Cartier-Bresson -
Surely the battery will last long enough for most needs
Nass needs it for macro stacking. Any table top use with the
LV will flatten a battery in a couple of hours.

Looks like it'll probably suit the other cameras too - 8.3VDC @ 2A
For the K-01 there's a kit that includes this PSU and a fake battery with lead: "Pentax K-AC1202U AC Adapter Kit for K-01 Digital Camera"
You'll probably find that's cheaper than the now apparently out of date K-AC50 !

£140 ouch
I have just found the AC50 on the US website ... $99.95 or ~£60
How can the £140 be justified? But the we are in the UK and tend to accept rip-off pricing.
How can the £140
How can the £140 be justified?
If you only knew the approvals process and costs involved for getting CE, FCC, C-tick, etc, plus safety approvals like UL done....
It's easy for us to minimise the manufacturer's costs when we are so used to buying mass produced items. If Pentax were going to ship half a million PSUs then the price would be very different
Just my two pennies' worth (being involved in manufacturing myself!)

Actually I do. And have experience of Far Eastern manufacturers and their processes.
Those adapters will be standard ones from a manufacturers range tweaked for an exact output and cased as required. The design will have been designed, built tested and certified to meet UL, CSA, CE, TUV, JQA and others. A lot of testing for one standard can be read across to others and often you will get approvals under one regime for just submitting the test data and approval certificate from another. In a lot of cases it can also be "self certify".
As they all have a full range 100-250v 50/60Hz input capability it will be one adapter for all markets and that will have all approvals.
There is no way that the US to UK price differential can be justified.
Have a look at the BC90 chargers - under $60 from the Pentax Webstore in the US, $40 from B&H. SRS are charging £45 or ~$75. The BC50 $35 at B&H but £40~$65 at SRS. In both cases they are identical items except for the mains lead - US plug on one, Euro on the other.
The US ones are called K-BC50/90 and the EU D-BC50/90 but when you see the actual unit it is, in all cases D-BC - the leading letter just indicates the power lead to be supplied.
(I'm not criticising SRS pricing as all UK retailers will be much the same, they were just easy to use for comparison).
https://www.pentaxuser.com/price-list
then links you to srs at£124.99
The price no doubt reflects that very few people want to run a DSLR from the mains supply.
This seems a fair price.
I suppose Pentax buys this units from China for approx GPB 2.- Postage paid. Nothing wrong with a lousy 7000% margin.

Indeed, that's true.
You can tell who holds the certification by looking up the UL number on the genuine Pentax supply.
If it's not held by Pentax (and just a Far East standard-block-plus-Pentax-cable) then that price is waaay over
Personally, I'd pay no more than £50 for a PSU of that nature - if I needed it - and no more than £30 if I felt like giving it a try (which would be a more reasonable price!).
Still thinking of making up my own...

RS seem to have the plugs Part No: 7153372

That is the one. Farnell also have them. If anyone is really desperate for one, i.e. if you are actually going to use it rather than just hoard it, I have a couple spare.
If you are going to roll your own, make sure that the PSU can actually deliver 8.4V at over 2A, many claim to be able to but don't. I can't recommend one since I ran my K-7 off a meaty old bench power supply.
