Lovely walk on the Malverns this morning - sometimes a bit too contrasty, but you make the best of what you've got. Just took the Pentax HD DFA 70-210/4.0 on the K1 MkII.

3 is a super shot and spotting those contrasts in 7 made a good one too. It's interesting that you get used to things ..... I've been playing about with Meyer lenses for ages now and I've got used to the circular bokeh rings. As a result, the hexagonal ones in 6 really jarred. That one might be worth a go with your Primotar John.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

3 is favourite for me too, with the lovely subtle colours in 4 a close second. Interesting what davidwozhere says about the bokeh, it’s rather different to the 70-200 f2.8 which I hadn’t thought about before. Nice set!

Just full of great colour & detail. Image 9 is very well seen, photographed and framed.

Maybe a re-work of the title though to "Lots of trees and next weeks BBQ"?

Best regards

All well composed and exposed photographs, you find something special in the ordinary John.

Truly wonderful art.

Except for the cow, which may become a truly wonderful meal.

As much as I am drawn to monochrome photography, one of the joys of autumn is capturing colour, which you have done well with these.

As for the Belted Galloway, Mrs LTL would have adopted it, leading to an argument about just how it will fit into the car for the journey home. (I'm not keen on having muddy prints in the car, especially after just having cleaned it.)
Nigel.

Getting older and grumpier. Taking longer to decide which lens to use today.

A collection of manual primes to keep me in touch with the pleasures of doing it old-school.
