Of course, go for it! Is the stand included?

Great question! 👍 I hadn't thought of that for some reason, no idea why. I was thinking of an extra large backpack. There again, I do have an HGV1 driving licence.

Looks a bit short to me. Should be OK for what you want, though, if you attach a 1.4TC.
Why do you need an extra large backpack or HGV? Surely it comes with its own transportation operative, as shown in the picture. Or is Pentax penny piching by only making that available as a costly accessory?

I shouldn't have read that whilst drinking my coffee... Screen now cleaned.
However, a well made point about the 1.4TC.

you need appropriate transportation for that.

I'm sure with the new shake reduction system you could probably handhold that if you want...

To all of you who have contributed to this thread, a simple thanks for creating laughter, showing great technical knowledge, (obvious since you need that knowledge to create the joke), all of this in a time when we need laughter.
What a great crew! Brilliant. 👍
Now, remain safe and later I'll post the pictures I've taken of the seventh planet when the sky next clears. K1ii, exceptional or what?

I've been looking at, eventually, buying a long prime lens for air shows, bird watching, y'know, that kind of thing. I saw this example on Photobucket.
Now, my question is this, will it fit a Pentax K1ii?
