Deffo my favourite lens... It'd take a FA31-Ltd to make me get rid...

Wow, read some tests and it seems to be a very impressive lens! It would be great to see a comparison between this and its Pentax equivalents.

That certainly does look like a very good lens, a bit expensive though. Quite large too. I'm building up quite a collection of old primes, so the 30mm f2.8 looked interesting, though the price they are fetching means it doesn't quite fit the "Poor man's 31mm Ltd" moniker Dr Orloff gave it....one is on ebay now BIN for $600! A lot of money for K lens. 30mm does look like a very nice focal length though.

I've arranged to get the lens cleaned next week so I can explore its capabilities properly, although in the meantime I'll try some wide open work.

It does just feel the right general purpose focal length for me. I noticed they can command silly asking prices. Luckily for me the 31 would need to be seven times better than my poor man's 31 to justify the (with servicing) price difference.

I've been half-heartedly looking for one of these for some years but it does generally command a premium price. Unfortunately the gaps in my K series collection have shrunk to lenses I cannot afford like the K18, K30 or K200/2.5. Oh well... maybe I'll win the pools.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

You'll have to do the pools first

Forgot about this thread and found it while looking for something else!
Had the DA 35mm out last night on a walk and this was one of the results. I need to use this and my M28mm 3.5 and K35mm 3.5 more often too.
OOC RAW converted to jpeg nothing done to it. Taken with the K5
