Please share your experience if you use Leica R lenses with an adapter on a film SLR Pentax. I read that there are certain adapters around that could replace the original R-mount so you might be able to use those R-lenses on a K-mount pentax.
Before trying this myself I would like to know your experience.

No experience Ron but you can buy the adaptors as I've seen them advertised. Leica R and Zeiss MM lenses can be converted to PK mount too if you wish to do that rather than use an adaptor.

I converted a Contax MM 35mm Distagon using the Leitax K mount, and have to say I've been delighted with it.

Thanks for the responses Frogfish and Merryhampton. How does the aperture work after the replacement with the Leitax K mount? Is it still posible to measure light with open aperture or are you measuring stopdown?

Stop down only I'm afraid, but worth it for the results.
