View here on photorumors.

Timescale late this year apparently.

Should be a very nice addition to the range.

My timing was poor...didn't notice under 'Latest Postings'

It seems like forever we have been waiting for this, I have held off buying other lenses knowing it is in the pipeline. Next problem will be do I buy at launch or wait for a price drop the following year?

The opening price is going to be insane. If they're guessing $1599 then we'll be paying £1599.

Great conversion rate :///

Unfortunately I won't be able to afford it, but I think it's a great combination of focal length/max aperture and weather sealing.

Think it looks very stylish too.

I'd bet on it starting even higher in the UK - £1799

Certainly good news if true - only ten years late!

Do you have a source for this?

The source says "speculation" which means it really isn't any kind of source at all.

These announcements from Pentax (Ricoh) often seem to be filled with unclear wording , it happens with every new announcement/development/release - the old philosophy of "I'll believe it when I see it!" seems to work best when related to Pentax releases

It popped up on my Facebook feed a couple of days ago, with a link to an English language Ricoh website.

Unfortunately, and typical of my Facebook experience, I can't find it now...
