It seems like forever we have been waiting for this, I have held off buying other lenses knowing it is in the pipeline. Next problem will be do I buy at launch or wait for a price drop the following year?

Unfortunately I won't be able to afford it, but I think it's a great combination of focal length/max aperture and weather sealing.
Think it looks very stylish too.

These announcements from Pentax (Ricoh) often seem to be filled with unclear wording , it happens with every new announcement/development/release - the old philosophy of "I'll believe it when I see it!" seems to work best when related to Pentax releases

It popped up on my Facebook feed a couple of days ago, with a link to an English language Ricoh website.
Unfortunately, and typical of my Facebook experience, I can't find it now...
