Thanks to everyone that has been commenting on my new found love of portrait photography. I just want to point out to everyone that I am enjoying the "tight" portrait over the "environmental" shot that some people have spoke of. Its not for everyone I know but i think its my style. I think i capture good expressions and put the people at ease.

Any thoughts welcome

Promise this is the last for a while!

I always think that though not as beautiful, the boys take far more interesting portraits than the girls.. Here it is proved once again......

I agree with that Stuart.... I think the girls "try" too hard if that makes sense?

Alistair, the last image is very good, the best I have seen you upload from you street portraits. Superb interaction with you the photographer and the chin has room to breath.

I like them but they look a little soft except for the last one. Are you softening up the girls and not the boys in post?

If so, shame on you for such sexist behaviour

I like my portraits nice and sharp, at least on the eyes.

#2 appears to have a clothes peg in her hair. Otherwise I like them all
