Difficult one as it will only interest those who want the body and grip together and in gun metal grey. If it were the standard black - you could possibly get a higher price selling body and grip separately.
Currently - new - the ltd edition is around £10 cheaper than buying a standard black with a separate grip.

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

Thanks Carl, I was thinking around the 575-600gbp it is genuinely as new including the box lol but trouble with the special editions is finding someone willing to pay a little more for what is purely cosmetic

I was actually seriously considering the special edition a few weeks ago before settling on the black to avoid any re-sale issues later. At £600 - you would be asking slightly less than I paid for an 'as new' K3 and grip - so seems a fair price to ask to me.Thanks Carl, I was thinking around the 575-600gbp it is genuinely as new including the box lol but trouble with the special editions is finding someone willing to pay a little more for what is purely cosmetic
Good luck

Have both the gunmetal and silver editions of the original Pentax K3, but...
Just like someone mentioned earlier, it's purely cosmetic, not much else. Also if anyone (buyer included) would damage one of those cosmetic plates, Pentax tends to run out of replacement parts quite quickly for the non-regular edition cosmetic colors - and would most likely not be able to replace and/or match items such as the gunmetal panels.

Thanks again Carl, appreciate your thoughts.
Not worried about being damaged 50mp, that's where my insurance kicks in, new for old if unable to be repaired, although insurance companies love people like me as I've never had to claim lol.
If I can get around the figures mentioned I'll get my own K5 to stop my mrs moaning

Been thinking over replacing the K3 with the K5 after using the wifes one but wondering about getting the K-S2 instead, the articulating screen would definitely be a bonus but would like to hear thoughts from users, just for info, I'm disabled which is why I think the K3 has seen so little use.

The guts below the K-S2 are on a par with the K-50 really, at least on paper. Same burst rate, number of focus points etc.
I only mention that because the K-S2 and K-5/K-3 are really aimed at two different product levels. The K-3 will have a faster burst rate, more focus points, larger buffer, more physical dials, can have a battery grip fitted etc.
If non of those points really matter to your personal shooting style and requirements then all good. Also the K-S2 obviously has features that the K-3 line doesn't, such as a floppy screen and real wifi built in, which might sway it in your favour also.

The K-S2 is much more compact than the K-3, so that might be helpful.
Best regards, John

Thank you both, yes John being lighter will make a large difference in my case, I think I'll post in classifieds to see if I can get some kind of a trade agreed

I have the Gunmetal Prestige Edition which as you're probably aware comes with the battery grip, no problem with the camera at all except I'm not using it lol, I prefer to use my wife's K5. The K3 is as new and has around 200 or less actuations, its hardly worth me leaving it on show in my display cabinet so I'm wondering what sort of value to put on it in order to sell to someone who'll actually use it. Its complete as received from WEX, the only thing I've done is to fit a screen protector prior to use as I always do.
Thanks
John
