K-3II Now Officially Discontinued
Actually, the EyeFocussing feature is hardly new to the DSLR generally. When I was a Canon EOS film SLR user, my dream machine was the EOS 3, a Pro level model, and it offered Eye focussing. I used to read reviews about the system at the time, and it didn’t honestly sound to be a ‘must have’, and at the time (around the years 1996-2001) it wasn’t necessarily all that fast or accurate. However, I’m sure the latest offerings are a big improvement and no doubt useful and practical in certain scenarios......
My EOS 3 dream was never fulfilled, as by the time the model became affordable for me secondhand, the digital age photographically had well and truly marched centre stage.
