K-30 power Options

I remember back in the day (around 2006 IIRC), there was some debate about focus speeds with the *ist DS and various power sources due to different nominal voltages - 4x AA vs 2x CR-V3

Are there any discernable differences in focus speed (or anything else) when using the K-30 with the stock Li-Ion battery (nominal 7.2v) vs. 4x AA Ni-Mh batteries (nominal 4x 1.2v = 4.8v)

I was proposing to use Energiser Lithiums in mine as I'd found them excellent in the K-x so I got the battery adaptor .

I've not tried them as yet but it doesn't look as if the adaptor goes in easily - does the weigh,t once the batteries are in the Adaptor, make it easier ?

I really don't imagine that there would be any discernible real-life difference from using one kind of battery or another.

Neither did I - but it didn't stop an extensive discussion in those days.

I have to say that my kx seems faster focusing (the actual motor speed) on my 150-500 using energiser lithiums compared to with eneloops.
