K-3 Rear LCD screen problem

Posted 29/01/2017 - 00:20 Link
Hi,
I recently updated my firmware on my K-3 to 1.30 and all was well for a few weeks. Yesterday the camera just locked up mid-use and would not budge. I took the battery out and put it back in again. This got the camera working again but the rear LCD screen does not display the standard setting screen. It just remains black. It seems to take photos OK but I wonder if this is a firmware bug and if anything else in the background is affected. Anybody out there any clues/advice please.
Regards
Andrew Goble.

Try a total reset of the camera?

I know it's a pain but this has served me well in the past. Just remember to write down any lens corrections first if you have done any.

Have you tried the info button? Cycles through LCD view(s) with each press.

Hi Johnx.
Thanks for this it worked a treat. When the camera locked up it must have changed a setting or two. Once again thanks for your help.
