Mike, where does that image come from? Maybe the site has a larger image I can look at. It is tiny to me.

But the difference certainly looks impressive.

If that is typical, then I'd have to be interested in that!

For those that were wondering about what the K-1 looked like at 12,800, and why I wouldn't use 12,800 for gig photography, then perhaps this comparison makes it obvious!

It does and it doesn't darkskies, because gigs are usually brightly lit in the places that count. Even the MX-1 sensor doesn't show excessive noise at ISO 12,800 when the light is bright enough. It's the dark shadows that exaggerate it, as in the sample image. That's my experience anyway, although there are many different types of venue I guess.
