Just bought first dslr

I just bought on eBay my first dslr, a Pentax Km. I have three lenses that have been in the closet with my K1000 for about four camera lifetimes...1 autofocus auto zoom Pentax film, a cheap Polaroid digital, then a Kodak z650 and my current Fuji that looks like but isn't a dslr.

I have a Vivitar 28-200 f 1:3.5-5.5, p/k-A mount, and, you guessed it, it has THE FLANGE that I have been reading about.

I will include a photo of it here, and I hope someone can tell me where the screws to remove it are. I have read about five threads about dremelling it, filing, hacksaw, and a clean removal. Maybe this flange is not too big. Some of the photos I've seen cover 180 degrees. This one is about Comment Image
90.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi, welcome to the forums!

The screws securing the flange can be found on the side of the bayonet. There should be three crosshead screws.

I would suggest that you can use the lens without the flange if it is too much hassle to fix.

Thanks. I found them, there were only two, but the flange is off.
