Just a couple of hoverflies

I have been playing with the A series 100mm (dental) macro with auto focus provided by an F series 1.7x AF adapter. The two are made for each other and you end up with a 170mm AF macro lens. It can be difficult to really nail focus when you use the sway backwards and forwards technique. This ensemble just gives the tiniest edge that results in really crisp images.

K1000, Espio 140, ist, istD, K70, K3iii and numerous lenses, just don't tell my wife.

Excellent shots, I also use the " sway " method of focusing for macro, and that's even before I've had a beer, afterwards nothings in focus !!

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!

Nice duo there David - crisp, clear, colourful - I wouldn't have guessed that lens combination, they are as good as a top class prime (IMO). I'll be trying similar with my A 100mm f2.8 and the F 1.7x converter in the next few days but I don't expect to meet these standards
