John Lewis...

I sold my KR recently on ebay having purchased a used K3. The buyer dropped me a msg with the following information:

"Just to let you know John Lewis is selling off their Pentax lenses at the moment in store or via their phone line customer services number only (not on their website).

Bought a 50mm f1.8 and a 35mm f2.4DA SMC Pentax prime lens for £50 and £70 respectively both new and unused this week. They had 2 in Welwyn Garden City and 4 in Ashford of the 50mm, Other lenses also."

Suspect the information is correct as just take a look at what's just sold out...

I could only see one Pentax lens when I googled John Lewis Pentax and it was going for less than half the current price:

A bargain for anyone looking for this lovely lens

The JL website is independent of the stores. Stocks and prices might be different.

You can order from a store direct and it will usually be delivered by a JL van.

I once did that with a Sony TV which was out of stock on the website.

If interested, ask them as they probably have some leeway as to pricing given they've stopped doing them now.
