My wife and I went to Brooklands many moons ago, great memories. I like these images, they show the cars as works of great engineering skill / art. Sculptures if you like.
Thanks for posting.

I hope you get the opportunity to go again. In the last 5 years they have made a lot of improvements. The big leaky hangar no longer has holes in the roof and has been moved away from the finishing straight. It has a fresh coat of paint and does not look its age (80 years).

Thanks for the update, appreciated. Next time we're down South we'll make the journey. It was / is such a great place.

Interesting viewpoint with which I wholeheartedly concur. What sets these cars apart fom modern, high tech vehicles is they have SOUL.
I have similar feelings about modern vs vintages lenses. Modern lenses like modern cars might be faster and sharper but vintage lenses have character and soul, qualities I would choose anyday over fast and modern.
Maybe one day we will have vintage lens rallys.
PS Lovely photo's

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!

It's been a long time since I've visited Brooklands and have been meaning to go back for several years. Great to hear they are making improvements. You've managed to capture some nice clean and uncluttered images of the cars that really show off their quality and appeal, which is never easy at these events - I always seem get someone walking in to shot with a Tesco bag, or an overflowing litter bin in the background! You've also managed to elevate that 124 Spider interior to Ferrari-esque status

I do so like that word, SOUL. Sums it up beautifully.
