Hey guys,
Here are a few images taken from a recent trip to the Isle of Skye (Feb 2020) on Day 1 of a 4 day adventure on the Island as storm Dennis whipped in from the Atlantic. I have also included the video I took and I hope you can spare 10 mins of your time to enjoy that (grab a cuppa).. https://youtu.be/Hd0wX9IGPvM

Nice vlog, enjoyed it and it looked about right for the weather on Skye!

Cracking photos and a very interesting video. Wonderful location Elgol, and the road to it.

Thank you for posting and sharing.

Somewhere under these waves off Elgol lies my great grandfather's schooner.

Thank you John - I was told its par for the course, even so, some of the locals were looking at us through the house windows with concern as we went beach side

Thank you Ronnie, what an interesting fact to have in your family, do you know more about it?

Not a great deal, just that he and his crew left her at anchor in Loch Scavaig, the anchor dragged in a storm, the schooner struck a rock and sunk. She was described as 'fast' which I guess was important; he traded round the UK to the Netherlands, N France, Ireland and his home port of Mallaig.

Not had a chance to watch the Video yet, but this small selection of photos is superb - "the crash" illustrates the combined beauty and power of the sea, and would look lovely on the wall of a gallery or a home

Will watch the VLOG later on but just to say with those 3 images - what great light! All 3 I think are belters but for me the star of the show is the last image! Nicely done

Excellent images Geoff, love the light and drama. I think the long exposure ones are less interesting compared with the others but then you were there to see the options and I wasn’t! It looks like you were part of a small group, was that an organised tour you booked or just a group of friends?

I was also intrigued by the DA* 60-250 lens on the K1, the results look fantastic but was there any vignetting or unsharp edges or did you just go crop mode? I am wondering how it would compare with the new FA 70-210.
