Does anyone know, would the little red points on man. focus (older) lenses still work on/for digital?
E.g., Pentax 200mm f4 m, 50mm f1.7m, Kiron 28mm f2.....?

Thanks,

Roger.

Can't see why not - the sensor is still in the same place as the film used to be i.e. the focal plane.

As Tigershoot reasoned, they work just the same, but for cameras with live-view thats generally a better option.
I used the IR marks when shoot IR with my k100d.

Thanks, Gavin & Mike.

In live view, with the R72 filter on, it's too dark to focus, surely?

Isn't it?

Roger.

tried on my K3ii and you cannot see a thing. the IR point definitely works , tried that out on my Tamron Adptall 35-70 which has a mark for 35mm and one for 70mm. the 35 IR point is 6mm from standard but the 70 is only 1.5 mm, how you sort out distances between i have no idea. Pentax A70-210 has one mark that slopes through the whole zoom range my other lenses for IR are primes, 24, 28, 90.
odd lens or 2

Back when I had a converted K01 I used the ir points on my m 28mm, f8 and focus points lined up and was good to go no issues at all.
Same when using the r72nm filter.
I know what i like, If not always why.
