It's a very decent lens isn't it. I got mine out a few days ago and the results are excellent but then it went back to the shelf. Just don't use primes.

Hmmm - goes to show that whichever lens it is, it's very capable (as is the taker)

My sneaking guess is that it's not a Pentax

Ok, time to come clean,

The shots are from a Sigma 85mm F1.4, had it a couple of years, not used much but I think I will do from now on , quite likely one of the last few new ones available, I probably paid a slight premium as the usual stockists didn't have any, and this one came from Amazon, but it was still just under a 1/3rd of the price of the recent Pentax version.

I've a portrait shoot coming up in the next few weeks and plan to use it then

Good luck with the portrait shoot Chris - although I'm sure you won't need luck, the Sigma is a cracking 85 (as you've shown)

Background rendering is superb, colours and composition spot on - think she should have ironed her top though

Another from the shoot with Mel last week, mixed flash and natural light, Off camera flash ( left of camera ) to light through Mel's translucent dress balanced with the little natural light there was under the tree canopy, with the Sigma 85 F1.4

Nicely done Chris - really difficult type of shot to get right and keep that natural look!
