Images not recorded on SD card ???
How much free space is showing on the card?
If a drectory search shows a lot of used space the files may be still there but might have for some reason become crosslinked. In that case it may be able to recover them with a PC utility
If you have eliminated the card as a source of the problem, then was the image on the card the first or last shot you took with the card?
Have you tried to take any more shots since, either with the card in question or another?
Did you ever review the images on the camera?
if the card was new, did you format the card in the camera?

I the past I've seen where the card may be hit by static (???) and the images appear lost. It may be possible that the images are there but just no longer accessible without some effort to restore.
Data Rescue makes a good one. Try it for free. It will probably only restore a few files, but if that works, buy it (or another) and get most of your images back.

Fortunately my first SD card worked ok and I took around 400 shots.
Has anyone else had this problem ??
