I've seen a 70-210mm lens second hand for 16.99 but I cant seem to google images for 70-210mm lens. Can anyone send me a sample of what image's I could expect please?

The lens doesn't come with a lens cap, but has AF on it which I am assuming is auto focus.

There are no Sigma 70-210mm lenses listed on the PentaxForums legacy zoom database ..... link

There are two 70-200mm f2.8 Sigma models, but they are premium items and I do not think you would find one for 16.99.

I think you should go back to the shop and check the lens in detail for its exact designation and fit etc and write everything down. Once we know the full details someone here may know of it .

They are there; you just have to scroll down a long way

The Sigma 70-210 F4-5.6 UC II gets the lower score of 6.33, link, the Sigma 70-210 F4-5.6 UC the higher score of 7.22, link.

Thanks for the clarification, I didn't see those at all. Dr Jeff would seem to be our man for this one .....

I used to have the 70-210 in Silver, It was a good walkabout lens if you didn't mind the long focal length, this was back in the day of film and I found the aperture ring a pain to operate as it's really narrow and so close to the camera body, of course that doesn't matter now, you just put it onto the A setting and control it from the camera.

I found it a bit soft but to be fair I was hand holding with a camera without shake reduction, if it's within your budget then go for it, although the one offered on here by Dr Jeff may be the better option to cash converters.

I have a copy of it. AF hunts a lot if you don't nail it first go and IQ isn't too much to shout about. It's OK but that's about all. I have the manual version too with the fiddly aperture ring referred to above. You can have it for a tenner +postage?
