I'm not sure any image on the web will make us aware of the advantages of the 645D. I'm happy to accept if I ever buy one I will be staggered by the quality when printed large.
Best regards, John

I'm a little perplexed by this thread. The images posted are not what I would expect from the 645D, lack of shadow detail and not 'vibrant', but I suspect this is not reflective of the abilities of the camera, but more to do with these particular images. The pixel size available in the forum will never do it justice, but I do think the images could have been chosen and processed more carefully. How about a wide, sweeping landscape?

TBH I dont think 6 sec and 55 sec exposures at f22 are going to really show these sort of subjects at their best.

I think if you really want to show us what the 645D can do you will have to put the image on Flickr or some other Photo Sharing site, so that you can load the original size that we can ZOOM in on, The scene you have taken is nice but could have been captured with a Mobile Phone.

Many thanks you all for your comments. I will reduce the Pixel size in future when posting images.

Reduce it?

Mobile phone quality is just what i was thinking when I saw the first pic. Mind you looking at Nokia 808 examples mobile phones can do far better than that these days.

Even uploading some 1400 wide pics and embedding them here would help. Pics I've just put up here ...

https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/willow-festival-2012-volume-two-35944

... are max 1400 wide, the forum automatically limits them to 800, but you can just click on them for dull size.

Although not the glorious viewing of a large print I do think reasonable size computer monitor display say 1400 to 1800 wide can do a great camera *some* justice

Taken with my mobile phone AKA Pentax 645D. Forget composition etc just zoom in on this image and see what the "mobile phone" can do.

He he, not sure what point you are trying to make, but the sky from the mobile is considerably better than both 645 shots.
However, the mobile does need a level in the view finder!

You can't zoom right in, but there certainly seems to be a great amount of detail there, especially looking at the willow leaves.

And hey - there's nothing so bad with mobile phones! Photography isn't just purely about the technical quality of the files (although most of the time, it helps!)
