How to get a white backdrop in ps
The selection may need modifying and perfecting after use of the Magic Wand, depending upon the accuracy of the auto selection.
Best regards, John
Hi all, just wondered how people edit there backrounds, ie when using a white backround sometimes i get a colour cast from the peoples clothes, how can this be delt with also the best way of brighting it back to white and brighter without adjusting the rest of the image.
thanks in advance.
some problems are best avoided. In the case of white backgrounds there are three simple rules:
1) Light your backdrop, evenly (and about two stops brighter (for white) than the key light for your subject).
2) Light your subject properly. (3 point is best: key, fill, separation/hairlight)
3) put some space between the subject and backdrop.
those three rules become incredibly important when shooting photos or video in front of a green screen.....
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.
Open your image in PS.
Layer --> Duplicate Layer. Click Ok.
Layer --> Blending Options--> Change from Normal to Screen. Click Ok. You now have a white image.
Layer --> Duplicate Layer. Click Ok. Even whiter.
Layer --> Blending Options--> Change from Screen to Overlay. Now the image is really strange
Change the opacity until you are happy with the image. Click on okay.
Now to get a really white background, click on Layer --> New Adjustment Layer --> Levels
In the histogram, drag the white arrow to the right, left a little. Watch your image.
Also drag the middle arrow for the subjects a little until you are happen.
Click on Ok.
Now click on Layer and flatten image.
