How do I add photos to a message and a topic post

I feel an idiot but can someone please remind me how to add an image to a post and PM?

Is there a document anywhere which explains such things? Unable to find anything using the search function

Sorry everyone, now seen how to add the image to a post - as I said I feel even more an idiot!

However, can one add an image to a PM?

I usually just put a link in the PM if an image is required.
