Welcome to the forum.
The titles that you see against names, such as "Site Veteran" or "Pentax Master" are just a bit of fun and depend only on the number of posts made.
No medals!
Just join in, enjoy the forum and if you need any help just ask!

As to your question - well I'm newer that you, but have more posts and that seems to have earned me a different user title .

Hi patrick
I've only been around here since January 09 but that is one thing I have never found out.
I don't think it matters too much as everyone is very friendly and happy to help with any questions or learn from others experience. I expect somone will be along soon to explain.
Welcome to the forum anyway.

northwest, scotland, southeast ... I have been across (not enough !) them, having a relative in the Fylde region ... thanks for welcome ! one of these days, I'll manage a proper photo-trip across UK, your magazines (I have subscribed to ... 7 (!) of them) show such beautiful spots / regions ! up to now, my favourites are the Lake District (not very well known in France, ouf !) and Scotland. So I still have a LOT to discover by myself ! have a nice day ! here it's sunny but VERY cold - still no lovely white frost to take photos of ... it will come !

I almost MARRIED a French girl in the 1960's, Francoise Lachaise ( The Chair !)and her parents had an apartment in Paris and a Country House-- she ended up marrying ( and Divorcing ) a Frenchman, Bernard, who had lots of posh suits and black leather gloves - I had only a British Army Demob suit ! ( But I DID have a PENTAX !! ) She should have gone to Specsavers, they use PENTAX !

Welcome Patrick.
I joined back in March and was very glad I did. Everyone is helpful and I can honestly say this forum has helped my photographic skills no end.

Specsavers advertises on British TV with the line 'Should have gone to Specsavers' -- they are an optical company and use PENTAX spectacle lenses.
