Hi everyone, greetings from London!!!!

Wow! What can I say. I've finally made my decision to become a Pentax user. My first DSLR I want to be a K100D Super. PLease, please, please if you have one or know of one needing a new, caring, fun filled home then please let me know. I'm going to search this whole website to see if there are any floating around but feel more than free to give me a heads up.
Its GREAT to join the Pentax family! Well, I'm nearly there!!! Peace out.

Hi and welcome David,

You've already made two excellent decisions: joining this brilliant forum and looking to acquire a K100 D. It's the camera I use. (Because I can't afford a K10 or K200,) but it's capable of producing ecellent, detailed and relatively noise free images (in the right hands - not mine!) You can also drop it from a height of three feet onto a concrete garage floor without damage (not recommended: I was lucky).

One of the best things about it (and other Pentax SLRs) is the chance to use old fixed focal length K molunt and (with an adaptor) M42 screw lenses, which is fun to do.

Hope you manage to track one down.

Regards,

Andrew
Best wishes,

Andrew

I sure hope I'll be as lucky if anything should happen like that.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome once again.

hi zealousdp, pretty new here myself

dont know your budget or if you know the good used dealers worth a look:
Ffordes list an unused K110 at £250
Mifsuds list a boxed K100 at £200
Ace in Bath dont have anything right now
LCE has been mentioned

my guess is at those prices (and the fact new ones can be had for £300) suggest ebay and forums are the better bet, good luck with the hunt

sorry, forgot SRS do used now, they list couple of ist and a solid K10 at £275
