Nice to know somebody near me (only about 6,360km).I heard Pentax Camera and Lens are little bit cheaper down there.

Just don't buy your lenses from the Chinese Market on Peraling Street in KL !

I'm sure they will do you a very cheap one but it may lack the glass!

Seriously though - there have always been some good Pentax bargains down in Singapore.

I used to stay in the Regent hotel, now called the Grand Millenium although before that opened I used a hotel with Delaneys Irish bar on the ground floor!

Cannot point you to any specific location in Singapore - there is a large electronics and photo mall on Orchard Road which former colleagues used but as I would be in Tokyo, I had a cheaper option!

need some help and opinion from the pro and experience. im on a quest of finding lens for my beloved K-x.

have a few option.

prime:
1)50mm m f1.7 (rather cheap)
2)DA* 55mm f1.4 (cost a fortune)
3)smc DA 70mm f2.4 (more a less than the 2nd)

tele-photo

1) DA50-200mm f4-5.6(affordable)
2) DA55-300mm f4-5.6(mid-range)
3) DA18-250mm f3.5-6.3

for potrait and event etc wedding,graduation. Suggestion are most welcome.

Izwan - try the Lens forum on this site - plenty of discussion there about this sort of thing.

I have a Pentax smc FA 50 f1.4 - it is a very sharp lens indeed, and great contrast too. It's worth considering if you want a prime of that focal length.
