The lens data and profile are listed in CC 2015/LR6:

I am using Lightroom cc, and it picks up the lens information in the 'lens correction' adjustment when processing a raw file - so no problem with that.
What I am referring to is the information in the top left of the normal display window. This is useful because when you process a jpg there is no facility for identifying the lens when you go to the lens correction section.
This obviously does not cause any problem, it's just a case of getting as much information as possible at a glance.
From Adobe:
Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and the Camera Raw plug-in include numerous lens profiles, which you can use to correct common lens aberrations such as barrel and pincushion geometric distortion. Most lens profiles also correct for vignette, where the corners of an image appear darker than the rest of an image. See below for tips on working with lens profiles, as well as a list of the lens profiles currently included with Adobe products.
Tips for working with lens profiles
•There are separate lens profiles for raw and non-raw files. Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Lightroom display only the profiles available for the file type of the selected image.
•Best results occur when you apply lens profiles to raw files.
•When you apply a lens profile to a non-raw file, such as a JPEG, you can experience unexpected results. Results vary because the data in non-raw files changes depending on how the file was created. If you get unexpected results with non-raw files, consider applying lens corrections manually or create a custom lens profile.
•For instructions on using lens profiles, visit the Help topic for your product:
• Correct lens distortion and adjust perspective (Lightroom)
• Correct lens distortions in Camera Raw (Camera Raw)
• Correcting image distortion and noise (Photoshop)
•Adobe plans to add support for other lenses over time. To request support for a specific lens, go to feedback.photoshop.com.
Note:
Tip: If your lens isn't currently supported, you can create your own custom lens profile.

Do you mean the information that appears top left in the develop module? Keep pressing 'i' on the keyboard and it will toggle between no info and two other sets of info. Maybe this is what you mean.
That's where I mean.
All the normal information is available - except the model of the lens.

There are no LR lens profiles for Pentax generated jpg files and that includes jpg file created from Pentax DNG or PEF files.

Funny, now you mention it I see what you mean! I have the same lens. I use it nearly all the time anyway so I know that that is the lens used.
Having had another look today, the lens information is showing correctly in Lightroom CC, but not Aperture.
I reckon that because Apple withdrew support for Aperture prior to the DA16-85mm being launched, that lens is not in the Aperture database.
