There is a lens profile creator available from Adobe via https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=193&platform=Windows This might achieve what you need

What version of LR are you using? as it's a fairly new lens I wouldn't expect it to be list in software that was published prior to the lens being release unless there was an update, I can't remember if it was listed in LR5 so you may have to be using LR CC 2015 or LR6 (standalone) versions.

I probably have not explained correctly.
I am using Lightroom cc, and it picks up the lens information in the 'lens correction' adjustment when processing a raw file - so no problem with that.
What I am referring to is the information in the top left of the normal display window. This is useful because when you process a jpg there is no facility for identifying the lens when you go to the lens correction section.
This obviously does not cause any problem, it's just a case of getting as much information as possible at a glance.
I am using Lightroom cc, and it picks up the lens information in the 'lens correction' adjustment when processing a raw file - so no problem with that.

LR has different lens profiles for RAW and JPG files, currently LR does not have (never has) lens corrections for JPGs tagged as created by a Pentax camera/lens.

Do you mean the information that appears top left in the develop module? Keep pressing 'i' on the keyboard and it will toggle between no info and two other sets of info. Maybe this is what you mean.

There are no LR lens profiles for Pentax generated jpg files and that includes jpg file created from Pentax DNG or PEF files.

Funny, now you mention it I see what you mean! I have the same lens. I use it nearly all the time anyway so I know that that is the lens used.

Having had another look today, the lens information is showing correctly in Lightroom CC, but not Aperture.
I reckon that because Apple withdrew support for Aperture prior to the DA16-85mm being launched, that lens is not in the Aperture database.

Its strange that some lens types show up in general exif info but others don't, even though the lens type is recognised in software packages. I'm thinking in particular what Fxif displays in Firefox. Some lenses show up, others are ignored.
