A detail from the last remaining - and declining - flower on Mrs L's Saintpaulia (African Violet) 'Halo's Aglitter'. The first stack with my rebuilt and simplified macro rig. Rebuilt after it had to be dismantled so the room could revert to its original purpose (i.e. a bedroom) for a visit by younger members of the family. Simplified in order to increase stability, albeit at the expense of flexible positioning with bigger subjects such as plants in pots. Fortunately, this Saintpaulia was just the right size .

K3 + Sigma 70mm macro at 1:1. Side lit by afternoon light through a window, 1/2 sec @ f8. A stack of 33 shots, 0.2mm between shots, processed by Affinity Photo. And cropped to about 2/3 original size.

Thoughts, comments etc. welcome as usual.

I'm surprised that Spad didn't latch on to the meat and two veg
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

That is a lovely macro shot - not just a detailed record but an interesting photo. I do like natural light macro's in particular - nicely done Steve
