My name is Wim and one of my many hobbies is photography. I have a reasonable theoretical knowledge of photography but often fail to translate this into superb shots I hope the technical knowledge might be of help for some people here and I hope to learn some more tricks of the trade.

Coming from a Minolta X700 system, I joined the Pentax camp about 2 years ago when I bought a K10D with the DA18-55 II.

From the Minolta days and living in a wildlife country, I knew I would need a tele one day so soon added the DA55-300. Funny thing is that I haven't used it for wildlife yet.

I thought that that would do for my needs, but after about a year LBA demanded one fast lens (FOV similar to a 50mm on a film body) and that materialised in the purchase of the FA31Ltd.

Life took a change when a colleague passed on his father's spotmatic with some Takumars and a Vivitar macro as a birthday present. A second body was added (now confiscated by my wife) and the hunt for more M42 glass started.

See you
