Then of course the Ricoh/Pentax designers tweak settings especially for jpeg in camera processing. RAW will be very similar throughout I'd also guess.
We live in a good era for all this technology with few poor examples. if our photos are lacking it's probably down to us don't you think rather than subtle changes in components widely used by makers?
I've been just hugely impressed with the GR sensor. In DSLR land I jumped straight from the K5 to the K3... missing out the K5iis. I'm now thinking I missed something a bit special...

It is a really handy lightweight and good quality alternative to carrying around a DSLR, and can be a useful alternative to carrying and changing lenses on the DSLR.
But sad to say I just don't get to use mine enough

Is the sensor in the Ricoh GR / GRii the same as the sensor in the K5iis?
I've read slightly different things on this.
