There have been a lot of posts on here over the past year about Gallery images and not a little controversy. Hopefully this one won't prompt any disagreement! I just wanted to point out that there have been some magnificent images posted on the Gallery over the past couple of days and if you haven't been on there recently it is worth taking time to browse through.

Best wishes

I second that David, some very creative work and always enormous variety. I think the display style of our Gallery & individual portfolios on this forum is a great plus - the portfolio page thumbnails give an instant feel of each personal style and it looks polished and well presented.

I do wonder though, if any others have been thinking, and I know this has been raised before, is the full view display of images a bit soft generally? I notice quite a difference between my shots viewed in my Fullscreen Viewer or indeed in any of my editing software and when I click on them on this web forum. I use different computers, a windows 7 laptop with Opera and at work XP with Explorer 7, and it seems the same. The same images viewd on different websites (eg Photoshop.com) appear very crisp as I expect?

I also agree with you David

If I may make a further point, and that is generally the standard of the photo's are very high IMHO gallerty and otherwise

In my recent post I put on some 'mediocre' images produced on the spur of the moment and asked for the opinions of others and how to improve them, the number of responses were limited but the thing I appreciated a lot is that the reponses were positive and very useful which I feel is far better than say 25 useless responses, I had only a few but learned from them

Cheers
