Fuji Pro 400H film discontinued in all formats

I was shocked this morning to see this announcement. I honestly thought that Fuji were more committed to their last remaining "pro" grade film. It's a sad loss as 400H has great colours, better than Portra in my opinion, though prices have been very high for a few years now. Makes me glad I bought a couple of five-packs of 120 when it came up for a good price in the summer.

Glad I got a 5 pack also in the summer when they came up cheap. I just checked and on 7dayshop they're all showing as out of stock as I was going to get some more and fridge it all.

It does say though that the decision was made because of difficulty obtaining raw materials, so it wasn't a lack of sales. I can see this might be a problem going into the future, especially as we seem as a society to be increasingly wary of noxious chemicals. Hopefully alternative materials will continue to be available long term.

If they can make a digital back for my medium format camera then I'll be okay still

It might cost a bit more than a five-pack of 400H...

I have a few rolls left in 120. No idea why, but it always looked good when I used it in my old folders whereas for 35mm I prefer the Kodak offerings.
