I was looking for one of these for ages, settled for a DA21mm in the end for my KP. Sadly I currently can't afford to splash out on buying it, but good luck with the sale and hope all's well with you saying a major change in circumstance.

Thanks Rick, as the no.1 (and most expensive) hobby - the photography will need to be cut back a bit, I was made redundant last week and I'm not quite at the stage to "retire" early so a few of my "nice to have" items will need to go over the next few months.

Sorry to hear that John, hope things work out for you, you're definitely right in saying photography can be an expensive hobby, something I've had to scale back on too.

Sorry to hear about this, John. Hopefully you’ll have something else lined up soon.
That lens looks like a doozy, too. I’m sure whoever takes it off your hands will enjoy it!

Once you've got the essential equipment (and avoid film!), photography need only be as expensive as you want it to be. So keep taking photos with the excellent equipment that you have, John, 'cos that's what it's really all about. And speaking from personal experience, it can be a good counterbalance to the rubbish that life can sometimes throw at you.

Wise words, my cousin said roughly same thing to me recently "It's essentially free if you use the gear you already have".

Thanks to all of you for your supportive words regarding my redundancy - although it's not perfect timing it's still only a job, I'm not going to be out on the street because of it.
Several members have PM'd me offering their support and advice - this is very much appreciated, I know some of you have had much worse things in your lives so to spare some time and words for me is more than kind. I do consider quite a few of you to be more than just forum acquaintances, it's re-assuring to know that so many people care.

I hope you find something soon John and don't let it get you down. In my experience these unforeseen events can often turn into a positive, though it may be difficult to see at the outset.

Many thanks to John for a letting go of a great lens. I'll be sure to look after it.
My best wishes also for the future.
