FS: Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 135mm f2.5 (Late Model) - Excellent

For sale is my Super-Multi-Coated Takumar f2.5 (model 2), 6 element design - the later design featuring open aperture metering with Spotmatic F, ES and ESII, probably the same optical design carried forward to the K mount version.

This one is in very good/excellent condition with original metal front cap, metal hood and plastic rear cap. The optics are very good for it's age - a little dust but the coatings are excellent. Aperture is clean, snappy and responsive. Overall it's probably one of the best you'd find nowadays.

Image Quality is top notch - it's sharp at maximum aperture and produces nice bokeh. Here's a few photos taken with it today...

Is this the 135mm f/2.5 lens?
Best regards, John

I think it must be. Its the only f/2.5 lens I can find that has two versions with the late model having a 6-6 design.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Mine turns out to be the inferior earlier 5 element design...

Apologies - Yes John and Kris, it's the 135mm f2.5

My proof-reading fails me once again

Kris - you need to ditch that awful earlier version, I'm surprised you can even see through it - it's so much worse than my later version

I have the K Bayonet version. Serial No.5540551 which I haven't used for a long time. It would be nice to know how you rate John.

CHEERS Vic.

Don't want to hijack a for sale thread, so I'll start another one later in lenses section.
Best regards, John

Some long overdue photos of the lens, as I said - excellent condition, and with original metal hood and front cap....

This little beauty is still available at £89 and I'll include the P&P - Difficult to find in this sort of condition, especially for this sort of price
