I have a very nice condition Pentax SMC 500mm f4.5 (K Mount) with case and box (box is a bit tatty) - It's far too big for me to use so it needs to go. I've had it for around 2 years and bought it with the intention of Astro photography, but although the Aperture is excellent it's just too big to use practically.

It's an old lens, so probably won't be in the same class as current fast 500's (such as the Sigma) but it is a fraction of the price. I've seen several of these (owned 2) and the condition of this one is the best I've seen.

Here are the reviews over at PF:

I'm looking for offers around the £350 mark - I can only see 2 listed on Ebay at £595 and £2,226 , so if you're interested send me a PM - It's heavy, so collection or reasonably local personal delivery would be preferred. I'll put some photos up when I get a chance but it probably won't be till next weekend now.

The £2,226 one is an M42 mount!

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
