Just seeing this. Excuse my ignorance but does it mean I can plug into my K3 and take pictures at the same time? Using this instead of batteries

Exactly what it does

The actual power cord (mans cable) is dirt cheap (common to tens of 1000's of other devices), but the genuine Pentax AC adapter to convert AC mains voltage to the DC voltage required by the actual camera is (VERY, for what it a actually IS!) expensive item (but there are far cheaper alternative units to do the same0 - not many, (and those are MINOR) technical differences between that and your average phone charger, and you know how little even the very good ones do cost :wink
TBH, IMHO, the Pentax AC/DC unit is totally, OTT, pricewise, far too expensive (especially as it is EXACTLY the same as they sell Worldwide because these work on AC voltages of about 100 to 240V- which means EVERY nominal supply voltage you will ever find. - and I do know that, having been professionally involved and interested in that area of Worldwide regs & safety requirements for decades).

K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

I don't disagree, but it's not a lot different to a Pentax branded lens cap at £12.99 or a non branded at £1.29. You pay for the branding on many items, value for money rarely comes into it.....TBH, IMHO, the Pentax AC/DC unit is totally, OTT pricewise, far too expensive ....
When I was looking for one of these I did find some cheaper versions but I didn't have the confidence in them (or your level of knowledge) to take the punt. This does a simple job and is usable on several camera models, and although it is unlikely to save you money on battery charging it is very convenient for studio work

FWIW, I would not pay £12.99 for a branded lens cap to replace the one that comes with most Pentax-branded lenses either if a £1.99 one does the job - I sometimes buy one of the latter and put the former back in the box/ cupboard for when/if I sell the lens on.
The important factor is the performance of the lens and that's what you actually need to "do the job" - the other accessories are just there to fulfil ancillary functions, and how or from where they come, or what is marked on them, is basically irrelevant (and as long as they are appropriately safe - like the AC/DC adapter, or rechargeable batteries - where that's a critical factor).
From the above, you will see that I am not very "brand-conscious" unless there is a substantial advantage in terms of the "performance" that I want at roughly the same price (that's why a bought a Skodia Octavia when my wife would have preferred a VW Golf with essentially the same mechanicals, but which came at a higher price and with fewer "creature comforts", because it had the VW badge on the bonnet! ).
