2 teleconverters for sale, both have the SDM/HSM contacts but (like all Pentax compatible converters) tend to work best with screw drive lenses. The 1.5x locks focus much better than the 1.7x on SDM lenses though.

Good condition, both made in Japan and come with front and rear caps.

150 for the 1.7x
180 for the 1.5x

Both incl UKP

Which is what I paid a while back.

Nice set Mike, I've found from experience that when using them (I have both plus the Tamron 1.4x) that they work best with the combo mounted on a decent tripod. They seem to hunt when hand held even when my hand is supported on a hide shelf, but lock focus well when used on the tripod.

No I think it's just very sensitive to the slightest movement of the setup. The SR will not be optimal though as the camera has no way of knowing the TC is attached and assumes you're just using the master lens.

Mike have you got any shots you can post taken with the 1.7, I would use it mostly with DA 300 for wildlife.
C&C welcome.
Don.

Just shows how sought-after these are now!

Paid about 80 new for mine about 5yrs ago from SRS!
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

Only a couple as I normally use the 50-500mm OS (which is why I am selling them). Both wide open and hand held. Sigma was AF, Pentax MF.

On the Sigma 100-300mm f4

On the DA* 300mm (very large crop)

Have you tried yours with a SDM/HSM lens? ... when I was looking for one a few years back the ones SRS had would only work with screw drive lenses

Mike

Seems to work fine with the 18-135 lens on the K-30 and just did a quick/rough test with the 150-500 HSM Sigma (in the bedroom!!) on the K-5 and it seemed to work with that as well (albeit very slowly but the camera battery needs a charge anyway).

Obviously, that's why I'm hanging on to mine (after nearly selling it about a year ago)

Looks like you did very well then

I would keep mine but I have decided I am going to unload of lot of my Pentax lenses soon (16-50mm/50-135mm/60-250mm/300mm and all the LTD's)

Mike (& Others)

I think I now see what the difference in my TC and yours is: Whilst they were undoubtedly both made by Kenko (=Hoya??) and appear to have virtually the same body and contacts, your IS KENKO-branded whilst mine in Teleplus-branded and thus there must be some internal differences between the two, and so I am sorry for any confusion caused by my mistake.
