This absolute beauty is still in my collection but not getting the use it deserves. The character of this lens is amazing - at maximum aperture it is not as pin sharp as the more modern 85's but it creates lovely bokeh, is a real pleasure to use and when stopped down is actually one of the sharpest lens I've used. The long focus throw give very fine control and your plane of focus will be quite shallow but incredibly sharp - take a look at this image - it's pretty big but the level of detail in the edge of the leaves is stunning (and this shot is already cropped a little):

here's the image page if you want to see it even bigger (max size is worth it):
https://www.flickr.com/photos/62460860@N05/49032649531/in/datetaken/
And here's what it does at f2.0:

This deserves to be in the collection of someone who will use it more than I do
These lenses are quite rare (in this condition especially) and are usually found in Japan with selling prices in excess of £300 (which is what I paid) - I'm willing to accept a lower, reasonable offer if you're interested.
Here's a mini Flickr album with a few typical shots:

That lens would look good on my Pentax K....
Kris Lockyear
It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

There's a blast from the past.
Some one else used Dymo tape on lens cases.
I've still got the machine a few rolls of tape.
Best regards

Still in my collection and sadly not getting any action - I've now sourced an original metal hood for it which I'll include in the package

I have owned a few of these and this is my final one - my "collectors copy" - it has the original metal takumar cap and original case.
Details of the variants can be found here:

I don't expect it to sell here but I prefer to give the option on the forums first
Price: £350 inc P&P
